Capitilizing on Friends for Fun and Profit

Hello all, another day and another tech blog. I have been doing some deep soul searching (yeah I know tech bloggers don't have them but thought it would make you feel better), and I have decided to monetize my friends/reader base by using googles uber neato adsense. Pretty much it will be like I spew randomness, you read it and some how involuntarily click on googles strategically placed ads and money magically makes its way to my account. Really though, if google is anything to go by they will probably be for stuff you like anyways.

And yes, so this brings me into one of my first product reviews. For your concideration I bring you adblock for firefox and adblock for safari. These winning pieces of code both make your life easier and decidedly less filled with flashing banners for "hit three darts and win a moose" or "you could be a winner... of spam" or "click on me to find old warn out hookers er... hot singles in your area". To make things even better, besides for having perceptively faster interwebs and less reason for a workplace audit, these tools even let you access databases of sites to block generated from other people pissed off with ads. This is great because it supports my motto of "why do when others can do for you for in a sill, free open source type manner". Really then you can't lose but I am just saying.

Really, if you have not seen these before I would be suprised. One of the best honest uses I have found with these is putting them on clueless users computers when I set them up for them. If you are the local kid who has been roped into such a task I feel for you but this really will make your life so much easier. Appart from the trojan filled email, I can't think of a place where users pick up more crap on their computers than by following these ads. By simply removing the distraction, you make their computer better in everyway and save yourself some headache.

But of course do not use these products on my blog as starving tech writers are being robbed of all their hard earned cash and you are a horrible person for not wasting your time or bandwidth on their ad crap etc... etc... etc... =)
